Outdoor Gardens, Plants and Trees - A Great way to Balance the Aesthetics of your Outdoor Spaces
Outdoor Gardens
It is always refreshing to see greens planted all around a property, even more so if they are in an outdoor living space. Gardens, Plants and Trees serve as a great way to balance the aesthetic features of a landscape and hardscape setting. Without greens, the space will look quite stiff, lifeless, and definitely less inviting. Plants, flowers, and trees—all these components make an outdoor living area such a joy to behold and cherish with their sheer beauty and natural appeal. Apart from making the property cooler (trees, specifically, are called nature’s air conditioning unit), outdoor gardens can also serve as an extension of the home’s interior. With other enhancements, such as outdoor furniture, heating and cooling systems, relaxing outdoors will surely be a much nicer experience overall.
Plants
Outdoor living gardens will never be complete without the decorative plants carefully planted in them. They provide vibrancy and life to the area with their mesmerizing colors and shapes, sizes, and heights. Among the typical plant types used in outdoor gardens include sugar plum fairy tree, gardenia, bonsai, peace lily, and many more. In fact, there are probably several thousands of plants that can be placed in an outdoor living garden, generally depending on your preferences, as well as on the area’s climate.
Flowers
An outdoor living garden can become more stunning if planted with bright colored flowers. These outdoor garden mainstays provide a pleasant mood and aura to any outdoor space, which is why a lot of home owners go the extra mile just to have colorful blooms planted in their outdoor garden areas. Among the most common flowers used in outdoor living gardens include sunflower, tulips, calla lilies, orchids, daisies, carnations, petunias, roses, daffodils, carnations, and a whole lot more. These are grouped as perennials or annuals. The choices normally depend on the area’s climate, the type of soil, as well as on the taste and preferences of the home owner.
Trees
As mentioned, trees are known to cool the areas where they are planted. This is because aside from the shade that they provide, they also release carbon dioxide which is known to fight pollution and hence make a certain area cooler than the surrounding spaces. Among the trees that are suitable for outdoor gardens are pine tree, paperbark maple, Pendula, Fox Valley, fire tree, Amur maple, and many more. The usual considerations in choosing the tree to be planted include the mature size of the tree, the space where it is to be planted, the climate of the area, and the over all theme of the landscape.
