Torches and fireplaces are warm & inviting

Outdoor fireplaces and torches are hot items when you want to maximize the amount of time you can comfortably spend in the backyard as summer becomes fall.

Chilly mountain air in the evenings can make you want to head back indoors, but an outdoor fireplace or fire table alleviates some of the chill.

David Coulson, corporate marketing manager for Napoleon Fireplaces, says as the trend in creating outdoor rooms continues, more people are adding heat and light sources.

“It extends your evening enjoyment and extends your season,” he says.

Napoleon’s Bellagio Patio Torch provides ambient lighting and some warmth to a space. Featuring a luminous four-foot flame, it can be turned on with just the touch of a button and comes equipped with a safeguard screen. You can also add an optional side shelf and bar table to the torch.

If you’re looking for more warmth, flame tables are a cost-effective way to warm up an outdoor space. The portable tables can easily be moved to where needed, such as a wooden deck, brick patio or out on the dock if you’re at the lake. They operate on either natural gas or propane.

“There’s a door on the side of it where the tank slides in on a tray so you don’t see it,” Coulson says.

With the clean-burning flame tables, you won’t have to worry about smelling like smoke after enjoying an evening fire.

For maximum warmth, Napoleon carries a large line of outdoor gas fireplaces with easy start ignitors and wind deflectors so you can still enjoy a fire on a breezy evening.

They have one-sided and see-through options and offer a choice of river rock, driftwood or glass ember beds.

While the flame tables, torches and free-standing fireplaces are simple to set up, you’ll likely need to call in a professional for adding a built-in outdoor fireplace to your space, especially to hook in to a natural gas supply.
